Upon request from the fellas this week's look of the week is dedicated to them. Idris Elba is one of those guys that can make anything look GOOD!!! He can rock jeans and t-shirts or a 3 piece suit, no matter what he ROCKS IT!!! Seeing him in a suit is just the cherry on top of the banana split. Although this picture is from the 2010 41st NAACP Image Awards, this look is classic and timeless but with a twist. Mr. Elba could have just as easily went with the classic white shirt & black tie, however I think that going with opposite makes him look much more debonair. No offense to anyone, but there is nothing like seeing a chocolate man in white. Although it is only the tie, it very much stands out against his complexion and pops.

Look of the week from January 26
What can I say, other than that First Lady Michelle Obama personified class and elegance in this stunning white silk dress by none other than American designer Rachel Roy, at the State of the Union speech last night. I can honestly say she is always dressed to the "T" when she steps out. Her makeup is flawless, her hair is laid, & she has the killer body to make any dress look good! Her dress and style has been compared to former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Kudos to you First Lady Obama, as one my favorite cousin's would say "You Rock!"

Nadiah's Royal Coronation
Ok, so I am sure you can guess what the theme for this party will be. My baby's birthday was back in December, but this year we didn't have her usual sleepover as we have done in the past years. So, since we haven't celebrated yet I decided to throw her a party the first week in March. I have this party already planned out in my head. I am going to clear out all of the furniture in my living room and we are gonna bring in picnic tables which will be decorated so lovely with lavender and olive trimmings. We're gonna have a photo area and of course lots of goodies to eat. I'm thinking that instead of playing "Pin the tail on the donkey" we are gonna play "Crown the Princess"!!!! And of course we have to have Princess Tiana make her grand appearance, the party just wouldn't be complete without her!!!!

I must say this Ms. Klum is giving it to 'em in her silk gauze halter dress from the Marc Jacobs collection. The colors in her dress are so flattering to each other, she finishes the look off with a nice pair of shoes also by Marc Jacobs. I love this dress because it not only works on the red carpet, but this is something you can wear out to the club with your girls. It's free & flowing, so you will not feel constrained all night long!

Turning the Big 1
I am so excited that my nephew is turning 1 next month, so u know what that means... PARTY TIME!!!! His mom has decided to do his party at Chuck E Cheese, but I've convinced her to let me do his goodie bags & cupcake toppers. Oh yeah, I also get to make the birthday boy's PARTY HAT! I must say that I love all of theses colors. They can work well alone or in combination. I am looking forward to mixing the Silver Peony & Russet together, as well as the Honeysuckle & Coral Rose. I can see these colors combined very well in a nice small floral print flowing dress. Looking at these colors gives me excitement & joy to see what I can go out to shop for & mix match for the spring!!!
